Navagraha Mantra and the Nine Planets
The Navagraha are Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu, and Ketu — each governing karmic themes in Jyotisha.
Collective Navagraha puja or individual graha japa both aim at harmony (shanti).
The nine grahas
Sun (Surya), Moon (Chandra), Mars (Mangala), Mercury (Budha), Jupiter (Guru), Venus (Shukra), Saturn (Shani), and the lunar nodes Rahu and Ketu. Japam offers several graha and deity mantras for daily practice.
